The Art of the Flip Turn

Learn the flip turn! Kelowna Masters Swim Club Coach Jonathan gets wet and shows you how learning this swimming technique will help increase your swim times.

The flip turn should go something like this: one stroke away from the wall, flip over, push off the wall with feet onto your back, rotate to stomach, reach surface and continue swimming.

Training for a Triathlon?

Many of our Kelowna Masters Swim Club members are triathletes themselves who have competed in all types of triathlons from Sprint to Ironman. The focus remains on front crawl, but we provide cross training with other strokes such as backstroke and breaststroke as one method of injury prevention.

It’s a great way to fine tune your swimming and keep up to date with the triathlon community.

The new Kelowna Masters Swim Club swimming season has started! Come join us as we embark on another swim season at Parkinson Rec Centre. We swim Mondays, Wednesdays from 8:30pm to 9:30pm and Fridays from 6pm to 7pm. New to the Masters scene? Come out for a free session and see what it’s all about.
